Walk Kitten 3D Papercraft Kit

I started with this one and now I’m tempted to collect the other designs too. The process is relaxing once you get into the rhythm, and the final result looks good enough to leave out as home decor.

This was such a relaxing weekend project. The black paper has a clean, modern look, and the low-poly shape really stands out in the sunlight. It was not difficult, but you do need to take your time with the folding and gluing. I’m really happy with the finished kitten and would definitely try another design.

I bought it because it reminded me of my own ginger cat, and it did not disappoint. It’s cute without being overly cartoonish, and it looks great on my desk. Definitely feels more like a design piece than a basic craft.

I love how this little black kitten turned out. The teal ears add such a cute touch, and it looks really nice sitting on my side table with a vase behind it. The build took some patience, especially around the smaller tabs, but the video helped a lot. Once finished, it feels more like a small decor piece than just a craft project.

My son is a huge cat person, so this was a great birthday gift. He’s 12 and was able to finish most of it by himself. It kept him focused for a few hours, and now it sits proudly on his nightstand.

What a fun, creative craft kit! If you love cats and like to make things, this is for you. I will say it is probably easier for a 10yo or older to put together on their own. The paper is heavy-duty, yet pliable. It does seem a bit smaller than I was thinking it would be, but still adorable. Would recommend!

This kit was a lot of fun to build, the instructions were very clear but I ended up using the link in the instructions for the assembly video on YouTube which was incredibly helpful. The included glue was perfect, you only need a small dab on each of the tabs to bond the paper. I ended up using some small disc magnets as clamps to hold the joints in place while the glue dried. It took me about 4 hours to build overall, I was taking my time to try and make sure all of the joints were nice and clean. The age range for this kit says 6+, I would say that's probably fine but the younger builders might get a bit impatient with the overall process. I am honestly looking forward to building another one.

I just assembled the ORIGAMIPLANET’s “Walk Kitten” last night. It was between 1.5 and 2 hours.

The package is very giftable and includes the glue. You don’t need any tools, everything is precut for you. Just fold and glue. In fact, I was disappointed this wouldn’t be a more in depth challenge as I’m a big crafter. But honestly, it was more difficult that I first expected it to be. It’s very fiddly with small tabs. And while my crafts are usually days to weeks long – frankly, getting it done in one evening while watching TV was nice and fulfilling. A quick hit of craft dopamine.

“Walk Kitten” is bright orange with black ears. I figured he would look great in my cubicles dark recessed cabinets. And now that he’s done, I love him. I’m going to give him a good coat of modpodge to protect him. And I just ordered the yellow “Star Paw Kitten” to do next. I want “Red Fox” too, but we’ll see how the yellow one goes before I commit to more!

NOTE: The listing page does not include difficultly levels which are on the back of the kit. I suggest they add this info. I’ve included it in my photos. Looks like I started with an easy one! There are video tutorials but I didn’t need it for this one. Looks like “Star Paw” is a higher difficulty so we shall see when I get to that one!

UPDATE: On the “Red Fox” listing, I saw photos of a ton of other animals! This made me search Amazon for the other options and I only saw these three plus the purple cat so I did go ahead and snatch “Red Fox” up for fear that he won’t be for sale later. (And yes, I did love this so much that even though I got this one through Vine, I ordered all the others myself. Yall email me when you stock the giraffe or a penguin).

We really enjoyed this kit. It’s very similar in spirit to the last one, with the same fun, creative feel, and the kids especially had a great time with it. It is a little complicated in spots, so I would not call it effortless, but that actually made it more engaging and satisfying once it started coming together. The paper instructions took me a little while to understand, but the YouTube video cleared things up quickly. Once I got the hang of it, the build was relaxing, and I love how modern the finished kitten looks.

The paper feels much nicer than regular craft paper and didn’t tear while folding. I also like the soft matte finish—it gives the finished cat a clean, modern look without feeling too shiny or toy-like.

I have 2 others of these a fox and another cat and they look so darling together that I may have to get a few more!! ^_^

These are very easy to do as not only is everything pre-cut but the pieces have scored fold lines! This means that you do not have to work at making sure you get the folds lines straight, just simple bend the paper. This makes it easier for younger children or those with hand mobility issues to do which is an added plus! The only other thing you’ll have to do is gluing. Just take each piece and glue them together via the instructions. The instructions are simple to follow too making this an all around great kit and a short project! :)

This was exactly the kind of quiet offline hobby I needed. It took some patience, but in a good way, and I felt really satisfied seeing the cat come together. I’m probably getting another color for my nightstand.

I bought this for my 13-year-old granddaughter because she loves cats and hands-on projects. She spent the afternoon working on it and was so proud when it was finished. It looks really cute displayed in her room.

My 8-year-old and I made this on a rainy Sunday, and it turned into a really nice screen-free afternoon. The printed guide is simple, but the video tutorial made everything much easier to follow. She’s already asking for the black cat next.

My kids, ages 8 and 10, stayed busy with this for hours. It was a nice change from tablets and TV, and they were so excited to see the cat take shape piece by piece. We’d definitely get more for a craft day or party.

I usually build LEGO sets, but this was a nice change of pace—less mess and a totally different kind of satisfaction. The pre-scored lines helped a lot, and the finished model looks clean and vibrant.

Very cute little set, it comes with everything you need to end up with a sweet little origami kitten at the end. It was quite easy to do but there are other kittens in the collection that are more difficult. Would make a nice gift for a beginner who is looking for a new hobby. Good value for money, I have had to have a look at the other animals too, they are well worth it.

The kit doesn't take too long to make but it comes with everything you need including glue and good instructions and then you have a lovely little kitten to keep and sit on your shelf. I've checked out the other animals currently available on Amazon and I've got my eye on the cute panda!

Please, please make all the different types available on Amazon from Origamiplanet because I've got a feeling I'm going to need to collect them all! They are also reasonably priced too. A well deserved five out of five stars.
